My Story in 9 Shadows

Hey everyone! I’m super excited to share with you the story behind my Yayis eyeshadow palette , My Story in 9 Shadows. This isn’t just makeup —each shade tells a part of my life, my roots, and the people I love the most. So let’s dive in: 

B.J. Love This one is inspired by my son, Byron Josué —these are the initials of his name. “Love” represents his tenderness and reminds me every day what the purest kind of love feels like. He is my drive, my everything. Honestly, this shade is all about the love that words just can’t describe. I love you, my son —you are my life.

 Prietita This was what my grandmother used to lovingly call me. She’s no longer with us physically, but she lives in my heart. Every time I see this shade, I remember her voice, her warmth, and all the hugs she gave me.

 Acateña I’m proudly from the coast, born in Acapulco. This shade represents my land, my sea, my story, and everything that makes me who I am.

Yaya This is the nickname we use for my mom. She’s my foundation, my strength, and my safe place. This shade honors her presence in my life.

Baby This is what my husband and I call each other. It’s our special nickname, our connection, and our way of saying “I love you” every single day.

Encanto Velvet Inspired by my niece Merlyn —her name means “charming” in Spanish. This shade reflects the magic and sweetness she brings into my life. “Velvet” represents the red color with touches of purple, just like the rosy glow of her blushing cheeks. It’s a tribute to her unique charm and the tenderness that always brightens my days.

Ocean Light I chose this name because my niece’s middle name is Moana, which means “ocean” in Spanish. “Light” represents the ocean’s glow —the same light she brought into my life when she arrived, filling it with hope and joy, like a bright sparkle in the middle of the sea.

Perfect Dúo Dedicated to my two sisters, Joanna and Flor. They are part of my soul —my perfect duo, who fill my life with joy and unforgettable moments. Being with them makes me feel complete and happy. I love them deeply, and this shade represents our unique and unbreakable bond.

Glenn The name of my first pet, a gift from my husband. It represents loyalty, true love, and the beginnings of our story together.
